Thailand Grade A Doi Chaang Arabica Roasted Coffee (250g)
The Doi Chaang coffee story started in 1983 in the Doi Chaang (literally meaning Elephant Mountain) province in the mountainous region of northern Thailand, where the altitude ranges between 1200-1600 metres above sea level. Under the leadership of Piko Saedoo, the head of the Akha tribe’s largest and most prominent family, farmers converted form producing opium to coffee. The production of coffee grew, and with the help of a Canadian businessman, the Doi Chaang Coffee Company formed to market and supply its fairtrade beans around the world..
Delicately rich, crisply sweet-toned. Orange-like citrus, fresh-cut fir, dark chocolate, a hint of baking spice in aroma and cup. Balanced acidity; lightly syrupy mouthfeel. Chocolate persists in a rich, mildly dry finish.
