Speciality roasted coffee beans from the Yirgacheffe region, this coffee exhibits Sweet red cherry notes, sweet elderflower floral, peach fruits.
Named for the city and growing region it comes from in Ethiopia, Yirga-Cheffe is a classic bean from the 'birthplace of coffee'. This coffee is grown using passively-organic agricultural methods in small family gardens. All plants on these farms are wild heirloom varietals.
Fully washed process. The cherries are hand-sorted and depulped in the late hours of the afternoon. The beans, covered in mucilage, are soaked in water tanks for around 48 hours, rinsed and dried on raised beds for up to 15 days.
